The recipe for this exotic product originated from a farmer in Zimbabwe, who Grant Paech (Beerenberg’s founder) met on a trip to South Africa.
Grant returned from his trip with a selection of spices and a big idea. Now, this secret-recipe spiced fruit sauce has its own fan club.
It’s easy to see why though – use it to marinade prawns or chicken, slow cook lamb, use as a pizza base, or add to casserole or pasta. It’s versatile and delicious.
